Throne to the Wolves Songtext

Throne to the Wolves Songtext

I awaken to my eyes tinted gold
Soaked in fear and consumed with rage
Eons of destruction race through my veins
This lust for blood ingrained
This is not who I am
Simply what I′ve become
Neither man, nor beast
But something far worse between

Upon the tender flesh I yearn to feast
Heir to the throne of nothing
The last of a dying breed

We once ruled as kings
Again, we will rise to rule the night
We who compel the shadows as the moon compels the tides

Eyes wide, illuminated by pale moonlight
Barred teeth stained crimson with the remnants of the sacrifice
In violent fervor I race for vengeance in my father's name

Upon the tender flesh I yearn to feast
Heir to the throne of nothing
The last of a dying breed

We once ruled as kings
Again, we will rise to rule the night
We who compel the shadows as the moon compels the tides

Engulfed by the fires of persecution
I can still smell the burning flesh
And the choir of agony singing out
Screaming in the distance

With the fury of this mutated malevolence
I know now I must embrace what I once denied
With this heightened sense of self-awareness I will lay waste to every wretched last oppressor

With brutal voracity I seek to cleanse my family′s name
Honor through bloodshed
Strike down my enemy 'til only
'Til only the beasts remain In the end

Engulfed by the fires of persecution I can still smell the burning flesh
And the choir of agony singing out
Screaming in the distance

Eyes wide, illuminated by pale moonlight
Barred teeth stained crimson with the remnants of the sacrifice
In violent fervor, I race for vengeance in my father′s name

Upon the tender flesh I yearn to feast
Heir to the throne of nothing
The last of a dying breed

We once ruled as kings
Again we will rise to rule the night
We who compel the shadows as the moon compels the tides
