Party at the Harveys' Songtext
von Adam Harvey

Party at the Harveys' Songtext

Every Sunday, my old man would bow his head
And vow that he would never do all that again
The morning-after stories from the night before
Would keep us laughing ′til us kids could laugh no more

He'd say, "It takes years to learn this skill
When it comes your turn, you got big shoes to fill"

We got a reputation to live up to
It′s a family tradition to follow through
It takes a dedicated team, a man can't do it alone, oh no
They've been known to keep on going well into the morning light
There ain′t nothing like a party at the Harvey′s on a Saturday night

Sunday morning devastation all around
I toss a coin, to clean it up, or burn it down
Tails could see me strike a match and walk away
But heads would roll, if my old man was here to say

"Son, it takes years to learn this skill
Now, it's your turn, you got big shoes to fill"

We got a reputation to live up to
It′s a family tradition to follow through
It takes a dedicated team, a man can't do it alone
They′ve been known to keep on going well into the morning light
There ain't nothing like a party at the Harvey′s on a Saturday night

Ah, boy Jones on the piano
And they've been known to keep on going well into the morning light
There ain't nothing like a party at the Harvey′s on a Saturday night
There′s still nothing like a party at the Harvey's on a Saturday night

Live in Harvey′s backyard bar, on a Saturday night
What the-?
Nice finish boys, what a band!
Oh, you get what you pay for, I guess
