Under the Sun Songtext

Under the Sun Songtext

I was tired of my job and I was sick of the cold
So I took a break and I took a road, going north bound
When the road ran out, I wound up here
In a beach side bar with an ice cold beer
And for the first time in a long time, the coast was clear

It sure feels good to feel the breeze
Feel the sand and the shells under my bare feet
Watching the sail boats sail on blue green water
And I might stay a while and I might stay forever
Change of scenery, change of weather
Get a little lazy, go a little crazy and have some fun
Something new under the sun

There were guys in shades and girls in bikinis
She was mixing margaritas and blue martinis
And I said "Where you from?"
She smiled and said "From somewhere else"
She said "Not long ago, I loaded up my old Volkswagen
And I left that town with a tail pipe draggin′
And a busted heart, but when I got this far, something happened"

Oh, and it sure feels good to feel the breeze
Feel the sand and the shells under my bare feet
Watching the sail boats sail on blue green water
Oh, and I might stay a while and I might stay forever
Change of scenery, change of weather
Get a little lazy, go a little crazy and have some fun
Something new under the sun

Closing in on closing time, she told me hers and I told her mine
And on the beach, we walked, and the moon saw it all
And when the sun came up

It sure feels good to feel the breeze
Feel the sand and the shells under my bare feet
Watching the sail boats sail on blue green water
Well, and I might stay a while and I might stay forever
Change of scenery, change of weather
Get a little lazy, go a little crazy and have some fun
Something new under the sun

I need something new under the sun
Something new, yeah
Yeah, there's something new under the sun
