Months and Years Songtext

Months and Years Songtext

Moments are this hard to gain
In this kind of rain
It′s slowing us down
Not to mention the changing of faces
It's hard to keep good people around
And I′ve been cutting away for months, it seems
At a list of all my dreams
Who knows which ones I'll reach

Tell me that I'm not treading water here
A couple of months have turned into several years
And the plans that we made
And promised the world would be done
Have just begun

I stayed up for hours writing you letters
That I never sent
In the back of the a van in Colorado
And here′s what I meant
Are we doing fine
I have no way of knowing
Just give me a sign
If we should keep on going

Tell me that I′m not treading water here
A couple of months have turned into several years
And the plans that we made
And promised the world would be done
Have just begun

We have just begun to hear your voice
Speak to us
We need to hear you

Tell me that I'm not treading water here
A couple of months have turned into several years
Tell me that I′m not treading water here
A couple of months have turned into several years
And the plans that we made
And promised the world would be done
Have just begun
