Long Ago and Far Away Songtext

Long Ago and Far Away Songtext
I watched to sky today and saw the clouds before me
Slowly they were forming above the waiting trees
But as the rain came down it burned the ground below it
And slowly fed the poison to another seed
Are you saying, man must change his way?
Can we stand on hope for our survival?
Are we waiting, for the open door?
Do we have the right to see tomorrow?
Long ago and far away, I laid my head down to sleep
Long ago and far away, so many dreams I meant to keep
But as my blues turn to grey, still we dream of
Long ago and far away
I read an evening trade, of leaves and trees and forest
That once would stretch before us, a world in harmony
In time we cut them down and danced upon their ashes
As devils lost in trances, so blind we could not see
Are you saying, man must change his way?
Can we stand on hope for our survival?
Are we waiting, for the open door?
Do we have the right to see tomorrow?
Long ago and far away, I felt the sun upon my face
Long ago and far away, the warmth would heal my soul′s embrace
But now I have to turn away, still we dream of
Long ago and far away
I watch the sun go down and see a sky that's burning
While the world is turning, it falls into the sea
