Happy to Be Myself Songtext
von The Boy Least Likely To

Happy to Be Myself Songtext

It was a dream; we had to wake from it eventually.
We went around the world, riding the ships,
As if they were horses.

I wish I had collected tea towels
At least then I've had something useful to
Remind me of all the places I might never get to
Go back to.

You know that I don't need the world
To be anymore complicated than it already is.
After the things that we have been through,
I'm just amazed that we still exist.
And I will find comfort in destroying things.
And if you can be happy with me,
I'll be happy to be myself.

Alone with my thoughts,
I don't want to think like this anymore.
I wish that I could just empty my brain
And fill it up with happy thoughts again,
For a change.

You know that I don't need the world
To be any more complicated than it already is.
After the things we have been through,
I'm just amazed that we still exist.
And I will find comfort in destroying things.
And if you can be happy with me,
I'll be happy to be myself.

It's just that I don't need the world
To be any more complicated than it already is.
After the things we have been through,
I'm just amazed that we still exist.
And I will find comfort in the simple things.
And if you ca be happy with me,
I'll be happy to be myself.
