The lights are shining
On the city streets tonight
We walk down to the river
And sit beneath the pale moonlight
My body is open
I feel so far away
My head is spinning like a carnival ride
I can′t find the words to say

And like a sacred vision
From somewhere deep inside
The light shines around you
So deep and so wide
My body is falling
Through fields of emptiness
And I'm caught somewhere between
The spirit and the flesh


She said, "I′ll be with you
And if your heart is true
There's nothing on God's earth
That I would not do for you

I′ll show you the promised land
And I′ll wrestle your adversary

Take me down to the ocean
Let me disappear
See my shadow pass across the moon

And when all these trials
