Holidays Songtext
Today I found that card you sent to me
Back in the year of sixty three
The one that says that I′m your valentine
With hearts of red and a pretty ribbon
Yes sweetheart I'm glad I′m livin
And you are mine
And I got that funny mask you wore
On the halloween of sixty four
What a funny clown you were in your disguise
You tagged along right with our kids
And all dressed up the way you did
Everybody on the block laughed 'till they cried
On the New Years Eve of sixty six
We celebrated with the kids
And auld lange syne played through the midnight hour
And on our anniversary
You gave the perfect gift to me
Red roses always were my favorite flower
And I recall one Easter day
And a basket filled with candy eggs
You told the kids the bunny brought for dad
And that one year unexpectedly
The party that you gave for me
Was the best birthday I guess I ever had
Holidays
What happy times we had together
Oh they were such happy holidays
Back then I thought they'd last forever
I loved all the holidays
Because I spent them all with you
But now I find the holidays
Are so hard to get through
Now our kids are all grown up and gone
You made a new life of your own
With someone that you love much more than me
And I think of how our lives have changed
How they′ll never be the same
A love that we had lasting just like a dream
Holidays hold memories
That we had as a family
And those happy times I never will forget
Last Christmas I stood home
Was the sadest day I′ve ever known
I guess I haven't quite ajusted yet
Holidays
What happy times we had together
Oh they were such happy holidays
Back then I thought they′d last forever
And I love all those holidays
Beause I spent them all with you
Now I find the holidays
Are so hard to get through
Holidays
What happy times we had together
Back in the year of sixty three
