On “Anywhere” Songtext

On “Anywhere” Songtext
Well, anywhere, uh, comes to mind immediately, uh
′Cause, it was Daniel who was talking about like, you know, Paul playing bass originally when these
When these two fellas got together to work on some, some new material
And I came up from Athens, Georgia, where I lived most of the time, uhm
You know, to see what's going on and
I believe Paul was about to get really busy with his previous solo record
So he seized this like, you know, week in like August of 2012 and
When the song was played for me and then, you know, we kind of played it together
It was kind of the thing, it′s like, "Oh, I know this song, hey yeah, oh no wait, it's brand new"
And that, that was one song out of, you know, the songs that ended up on the record that
Was really immediate, immediate
And kind of revealed that, uhm, it was gonna be an easy venture, you know
Not that, like Daniel was saying, there was a pre-occupation about it but there was proof
You know, and it was, we didn't really talk about anything, we just kinda played the song
And I remember doing like a reel, kind of low file recording
Of those days that we spent together at this rehearsal space
And a lot of it just felt like a-a crappy recording of a very well played
You know, set of music by a three-piece band
But anywhere kind of stuck out, it seemed to be able to play itself
′Cause, it was Daniel who was talking about like, you know, Paul playing bass originally when these
When these two fellas got together to work on some, some new material
And I came up from Athens, Georgia, where I lived most of the time, uhm
