Far Away Songtext

Far Away Songtext

Long ago when the world was young
The moon was full and the stars filled the sky
Two great ships left the shores behind
To sail like never before

They sailed the sea from shore to shore
Searching for the brave new world
Seeking out the truth untold
And to sail back home again

But that night the wind blew hard
The darkened clouds hid the shining stars
The sea was running high for sure
For the raging storm

And the ships sunk down in the deepest water
Chaos everywhere
The cries of men they finally went silent
In the eye of the storm

Fifty men drowned in the sea
Escaped from their own misery
Only one survived the night
To keep the dream alive

Every man obeyed his will
Their hearts were true with bravery
Honour as their guiding light
They followed him with pride

From the waves he rose hands full of sea treasures
They meant nothing to him
The pouring rain he feared no more
It vanished like a dream

There he stood alone that day
With silver light shining ′bout his head
Who he was or whence he came
No-one can tell his name

He became a shooting star
He took a journey and went far
The legends speak about a man who rules
The shadows in the night

And the angels in the highest heaven
Let him sail alone
In the darkest hour he travels through the sky
To guide all ships back home

Long ago when the world was young
The moon was full and the stars filled the sky
Two great ships left the shores behind
To sail like never before

They sailed the sea from shore to shore
Searching for the brave new world
Seeking out the truth untold
And to sail back home again

And the ships sunk down in the deepest water
Chaos everywhere
The cries of men they finally went silent
In the eye of the storm

All alone, far away
From the shores, far away
