Nameless Songtext
von Benoît Pioulard
Nameless Songtext
I made a mirror out of mercury
& despised the pallid face staring at me
Where did this wretched mask originate
Have I angered God, am I inchoate
Can I link you home within the tallowing
Past every alley bathed in evening
Vinegar valentines in eager undertow
Sanguine as we eat the flowers & feel the dusk in glow
A little sterling on the temples as I dread
The loss of heaven & deem worthy an errant
Exhale that flitters away without a threat
We have no right to be so recognized
& I wonder if they′ll ever deign to cease
All the pains that live within periphery
Like the sister somewhere who I haven't met
Or that second cemetery cigarette
This hearse has been following us all day
Nameless as a red leaf sighing on toward its own decay
& I′d love to lose an hour wrapped in your headaches
But I should weather on soon, the ice is breaking
I spark a flare knowing the beacon blazes undersea
Reeling while my reflection drifts away inaudibly
& despised the pallid face staring at me
Where did this wretched mask originate
Have I angered God, am I inchoate
Can I link you home within the tallowing
Past every alley bathed in evening
Vinegar valentines in eager undertow
Sanguine as we eat the flowers & feel the dusk in glow
A little sterling on the temples as I dread
The loss of heaven & deem worthy an errant
Exhale that flitters away without a threat
We have no right to be so recognized
& I wonder if they′ll ever deign to cease
All the pains that live within periphery
Like the sister somewhere who I haven't met
Or that second cemetery cigarette
This hearse has been following us all day
Nameless as a red leaf sighing on toward its own decay
& I′d love to lose an hour wrapped in your headaches
But I should weather on soon, the ice is breaking
I spark a flare knowing the beacon blazes undersea
Reeling while my reflection drifts away inaudibly
